This Calculator Disclaimer applies to every interactive calculator, estimator, planner, and visual tool on homeject.com (the “Tools”), including the TV Wall Mount Height Calculator and Visual Placement Planner, the Kitchen Planner, the Recessed Lighting Calculator, the Wall Framing Calculator, the Concrete Volume Calculator, the Insulation R-Value Calculator, the Shed Materials Calculator, and any calculators or planners added in the future. By using any Tool you agree to this Disclaimer, our Website Disclaimer, and our Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Tools.

1. Planning and estimation only

The Tools are provided for general information, education, illustration, and entertainment purposes only. They are visualization and estimation aids, not professional services. Nothing produced by a Tool is professional, engineering, architectural, design, or legal advice, and no Tool determines whether a design, layout, or installation is safe, code compliant, structurally sound, or suitable for your specific home or situation.   • Verifying manufacturer specifications, weight ratings, and clearance and installation instructions for your TV, mount, fixtures, materials, and equipment.
  • Obtaining any permits and inspections required in your area.
  • Hiring licensed professionals for electrical, plumbing, gas, structural, and any other regulated or hazardous work.
  • Stopping and consulting a qualified professional whenever you are unsure.

5. Assumption of risk and limitation of liability

You use the Tools and rely on their results entirely at your own risk. 6. A note on the TV and fireplace planning tools

The TV Wall Mount Planner, including its Fireplace Planning View and heat reference overlay, is a visual planning aid only. It does not measure temperature and does not determine whether a position is safe, suitable, or code compliant. Heat and clearance requirements for above-fireplace installations vary by fireplace and TV and are set by the manufacturers. Always follow your fireplace and TV manufacturers’ instructions and consult a qualified installer for above-fireplace setups.
