How many studs do I need for a wall?
Divide the wall length in inches by your stud spacing (16 or 24 inches) and add 1. For a 16-foot wall at 16″ OC: (192 ÷ 16) + 1 = 13 studs. Add extra for corners, door openings, and king/jack studs. Use the Wall Framing Calculator for a precise count.
How much concrete do I need for a slab?

How many recessed lights do I need?

How far apart should recessed lights be?

How many 2×4 studs do I need?

How do I calculate concrete for a footer?

What size recessed lights should I use?
For standard rooms with 8–10 ft ceilings, 4-inch or 6-inch recessed lights are most common. Use 4-inch fixtures for kitchens and accent lighting, 6-inch for general room lighting. The size affects spacing — 6-inch fixtures typically need more space between them.
How do I figure out how much lumber I need to frame a wall?

How many bags of concrete do I need?

How thick should insulation be for an attic?

How do I calculate shed roof framing?

What is the formula for wall framing?

How do I calculate square footage for insulation?

How much concrete for fence posts?
A standard 6-inch diameter, 3-foot deep post hole needs approximately 0.10 cubic yards or about 6 bags (60 lb) of concrete per post. For 10 posts: 60 bags total. Always check that your hole diameter leaves 2–3 inches around each post for proper concrete coverage.
What pitch should a shed roof be?

How do I calculate framing for a door opening?
