Affiliate Disclosure

Short version: some links on Homeject earn a commission. It doesn’t change what I recommend.

How this works

When a post mentions a tool, hinge, tap, sink, stain, speaker cone, or anything else I actually used, I often link to where you can buy it. Many of those links are affiliate links — if you click through and purchase, I earn a small percentage at no extra cost to you.

It is the most common way an independent site like this supports itself without paywalls or sponsored posts that muddy the editorial.

Programs we participate in

  • Amazon Associates Program — Homeject.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
  • Manufacturer affiliate programs for brands I already use (e.g., Blum, Grohe, Franke dealer programs where available)
  • Tool-seller affiliate programs (Acme Tools, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Woodcraft, Rockler, and similar)

Specific programs change over time. This page gets updated when they do.

My editorial rule

I link to what I actually bought and used. I don’t recommend tools or materials I haven’t put hands on. If a link is here, a receipt of mine is behind it.

If a manufacturer sent me something for review (rare — this is a solo site, not a review outlet), the post will say so clearly at the top.

What you can do

  • Click normally. The link works the same.
  • Buy what helps you. If the tool in the post isn’t right for your project, buy something else. I’d rather you build well than click my link.
  • Use your own method. Most projects on Homeject can be done with tools you already own.

FTC disclosure

This site’s participation in affiliate programs is disclosed per the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255 endorsement guidelines. Readers in the EU, UK, and other jurisdictions are covered under equivalent local consumer-protection rules.

If you found a post useful and want to support the site, the cleanest way is to click an Amazon link before you shop. Costs you nothing. Keeps the lights on.
