We love getting questions, build photos, and tips from readers. To keep the comments section useful for everyone, please follow the simple rules below.

What’s welcome

  • Genuine questions about the project.
  • Your own experience and what you learned doing something similar.
  • Tips, corrections, and friendly disagreement.
  • Photos of your own builds.

What we’ll remove (or not approve)

  • Spam. Promotional links, SEO comments, repeated comments, and obvious bot content.
  • Personal attacks. Insults, slurs, harassment, threats, or comments aimed at other readers personally rather than the project being discussed.
  • Hate speech. Anything attacking a person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar.
  • Off-topic rants. Politics, conspiracy theories, and unrelated arguments don’t belong in the project comments.
  • Doxxing or privacy violations. Don’t post anyone’s personal info (real name, address, phone number, employer) without their consent.
  • Illegal content. Including pirated material, anything that infringes someone’s copyright, or anything advocating illegal activity.
  • Impersonation. Don’t pretend to be someone else or claim a credential you don’t have.
  • Excessive self-promotion. A relevant link to your own related project is fine; turning the comments into your storefront is not.
  • Specific safety advice that could hurt someone, especially involving electrical, gas, structural, or chemical work. We may remove or edit comments that recommend something we believe is unsafe.

Moderation

  • Comments may be held for moderation, especially first-time comments and any comment with a link.
  • We use spam filtering tools (such as Akismet) that may automatically catch spam.
  • We may edit a comment for length, formatting, or to remove personal information — not to change its meaning.
  • We can remove any comment, ban any user, and close comments on any post at any time, for any reason.
  • We don’t respond to every comment, but we read them.

Your comment is your responsibility

By posting a comment you confirm that:

  • The comment is yours, or you have permission to post it.
  • The comment doesn’t violate anyone’s rights or any law.
  • You grant Homeject a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and adapt your comment in connection with the Site.
  • Homeject is not responsible for the views or accuracy of comments left by readers.
