Copyright & DMCA Policy

Effective date: April 28, 2026
Last updated: April 28, 2026

This page explains how the content on homeject.com (the “Site”) is protected, what you can and can’t do with it, and how to report copyright infringement. It applies to text, photographs, videos, illustrations, graphics, layouts, and any other original material we publish — on the Site and on our associated social channels (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

1. Ownership and copyright notice

© 2026 Homeject. All rights reserved.

All photographs, video footage, illustrations, written articles, project descriptions, and other original content on the Site are owned by Homeject (or used with permission from the rights holder), unless explicitly noted. They are protected by U.S. and international copyright law. Unauthorized use is a copyright violation.

2. What you may do (limited license)

We’re happy for readers to share our work in personal, non-commercial ways. Subject to all of the conditions below, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to:

  • Pin to Pinterest. Pin our images using Pinterest’s standard “Save” or “Pin It” button. The pin must link back to the original page on homeject.com.
  • Share on social media. Share a link to a post on Facebook, Twitter/X, Reddit, Threads, etc.
  • Quote briefly with credit. Quote up to a short paragraph of an article in your own blog post or article, with clear visible credit to “Homeject” and a follow link back to the specific page on homeject.com you’re quoting from.
  • Use one photo for non-commercial reference. Use up to one (1) photo from a Homeject post in a non-commercial blog post or article that discusses or references our work, provided you (a) credit “Homeject” directly under the photo, (b) include a follow link back to the original Homeject post the photo came from, (c) do not crop or remove any visible Homeject watermark, and (d) do not use the photo as the featured image / hero image / Pinterest image of your post.

3. What you may NOT do (without written permission)

Without our prior written permission, you may not:

  • Republish, copy, or reproduce a full Homeject article, project, or video, in whole or in any substantial part, on another website, blog, newsletter, app, social account, video, course, ebook, print publication, or any other medium.
  • Use Homeject photos, video clips, or footage for commercial purposes — including (without limitation) sponsored content, paid advertising, brand campaigns, product packaging, retail listings, stock-photo libraries, prints for sale, merchandise, or paid courses or templates.
  • Use Homeject photos or video as the lead image, thumbnail, or featured image of any third-party content.
  • Crop out, remove, alter, or obscure any watermark, signature, caption, or attribution.
  • Edit photos or video into something that misrepresents the original or implies an endorsement that does not exist.
  • Aggregate Homeject content into a feed, app, or AI dataset.
  • Translate Homeject content into another language and republish it.
  • Claim authorship or imply that Homeject content is your own.

The license in section 2 may be revoked at any time. If we ask you to take something down, take it down.

4. Photo and video specifically

Every photograph and video on the Site, on our YouTube channel, and on our social channels was either taken or produced by Homeject, or licensed to Homeject for use here. Photos and videos may not be:

  • Downloaded, re-uploaded, or rehosted on another platform (including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook Reels, X, Pinterest “idea pins,” or any other service) as if they were your own.
  • Used in any compilation, reaction, reposting, or “DIY tips” video that does not have our prior written permission.
  • Used in any AI-generated, AI-edited, or AI-trained dataset, model, or output (see section 6).
  • Used in any way that would create the impression that Homeject endorses a product, brand, service, or contractor.

If you’d like to license a photo or use a video clip for any purpose beyond section 2, contact us first at Homeject@yahoo.com with what you want to use, where you want to use it, how long, and for what purpose. We respond to most reasonable requests.

5. Trademarks

“Homeject,” the homeject.com name, our logo, and any other distinctive marks we use are trademarks of Homeject. You may not use them without our written permission, and you may not use them in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement that does not exist.

Third-party brand names mentioned on the Site (Hardie®, Tamlyn®, Tyvek®, Clopay®, Home Depot®, Menards®, Amazon®, etc.) are trademarks of their respective owners. We mention them only for identification and reference; mention does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those companies.

6. No AI training or scraping

Homeject expressly does not consent to its content (text, photos, videos, captions, metadata, or any other material on the Site or our social channels) being used or accessed by any third party for the purposes of developing, training, fine-tuning, evaluating, benchmarking, or operating artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, or large language model systems (“AI Purposes”), except with our express prior written permission.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Scraping, crawling, downloading, indexing, copying, caching, or reproducing any content for AI Purposes.
  • Using the content to generate training data, embeddings, fine-tuning datasets, or model outputs.
  • Generating derivative images, videos, voices, or text that imitate Homeject’s content, style, or persona.
  • Circumventing any technical or contractual measure (including robots.txt directives, AI-bot opt-outs, or terms of service) intended to prevent the foregoing.

Use of Homeject content for AI Purposes without written permission constitutes a breach of these terms and may also violate applicable copyright, trademark, and computer fraud laws. AI operators, agents, and crawlers are not authorized to access the Site for AI Purposes.

7. DMCA notice (reporting infringement to us)

Homeject respects the intellectual property of others. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send us a written DMCA notice that includes:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the material on our Site that you claim is infringing, including the URL.
  3. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send notices to: Homeject@yahoo.com, subject line: “DMCA Notice.”

Knowingly false DMCA notices may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). We may share your notice with the alleged infringer.

8. Reporting infringement of OUR work

If you’ve found Homeject content (photos, videos, or text) used somewhere without permission — or used in a way not allowed under section 2 — we’d like to know. Please email Homeject@yahoo.com with the original Homeject URL and the URL where you saw the unauthorized use. We follow up on every report.

9. Permissions and licensing requests

To request permission for any use beyond what’s allowed in section 2 — including republication, commercial use, video clip licensing, syndication, translation, or use in a course, book, or campaign — email Homeject@yahoo.com with:

  • Which content you want to use (URL).
  • How you want to use it (where it will appear, what it will be used for).
  • How long you need it.
  • Whether the use is commercial.
  • Who’s asking (name, organization, contact info).

10. Repeat infringers

We reserve the right to terminate access to the Site — and to pursue any legal remedies available — for anyone who repeatedly infringes our copyrights or those of others.

11. Changes

We may update this Copyright Policy at any time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the current version.
